Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026

We believe in being upfront about how PlanYourSpainTrip.com supports itself. This page explains which links on our site are affiliate links, what that means for you (spoiler: nothing extra to pay), and how we decide what to recommend.

The short version

In one sentence Some links on this site earn us a small commission if you book through them — at no additional cost to you — and we only link to partners we genuinely think are useful for planning a trip to Spain.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that includes a tracking code identifying PlanYourSpainTrip.com as the referring site. When you click one and then make a booking or purchase with that partner, we may receive a commission from the partner — typically a small percentage of the booking value. You pay exactly the same price as if you went directly to the partner's website.

Our affiliate partners

We work with (or plan to work with) reputable travel companies across the categories most relevant to trips in Spain:

Hotels & Accommodation
Booking.com, Hotels.com, and select properties via TravelPayouts
Tours & Activities
GetYourGuide, Viator
Car Rentals
DiscoverCars, Rentalcars.com
Flights & Transport
TravelPayouts network (Aviasales, Trip.com and others)

We also participate — or apply to participate — in affiliate programs administered through networks such as CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) and TravelPayouts. These networks simply handle the tracking and payment relationships between us and the individual travel brands above.

How we decide what to recommend

Our editorial process is simple:

Where you'll see affiliate links

Most affiliate links appear in the following contexts:

Individual posts may include a short disclosure banner near the top as a reminder. All affiliate links are ones we believe add genuine value for readers.

Your cost: zero extra

To be completely clear: clicking an affiliate link on our site does not make your booking more expensive. In many cases, the partner's rate is the same whether you come from us, a competitor, or directly. Affiliate commissions are paid by the partner out of their existing margins.

Why this matters

Affiliate commissions are how independent content sites like ours stay sustainable without flooding readers with intrusive ads or gated paywalls. If you find our guides useful and decide to book through one of our links, thank you — it's the single most meaningful way to support the site.

FTC & Amazon Associates compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) 16 CFR § 255 "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising," the EU's consumer protection requirements, and similar transparency regulations worldwide. If we ever participate in the Amazon Associates Program, we will add the required "As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases" notice.
